Representative Tom Price of Georgia, is Donald Trump’s top pick for Secretary of Health and Human Services, says, “The consequences of activity that has been seen as outside the norm are real and must be explored completely.” So, it’s not surprising that Tom Price has 0% rating with the Human Rights Campaign, and supports a constitutional amendment defining marriage as between one man, and one woman.
“The consequences of activity that has been seen as outside the norm are real and must be explored completely… [before] moving forward with any social legislation that would alter things.”
Logo’s New Now Next reports that Price spoke with Rabbi Noson Leiter, who blamed Hurricane Sandy on New York getting marriage equality.
“The 62-year-old Price agreed with Leiter that laws that “promote some homosexual-agenda item… should take into account the tremendous medical health impact and economic impact that promoting such a lifestyle will result in.’”
He added that “tried-and-true traditions in history that made us great have survived because they are effective.”
Price believes that pro-LGBT laws that “promote” homosexuality as a healthy lifestyle should consider health and financial costs resulting from that lifestyle. Also opposes marriage equality, partner benefits for LGBT couples, open military service, employment nondiscrimination, and LGBT hate crime protections.
